We each have a story with food. I have met and supported many people through their journey with food. Many have come to me dealing with overeating, body dysmorphia, food addictions and more. Food can be a sensitive area for many and for some it is just fuel. I know many experts would say it starts with the mind. For myself, I had to make a mind-shift. The food I grew up with in my culture had so much starch, sugar and fat. Many of my family members were dealing with high-cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc. and at a young age. I knew I needed to make a shift for myself and my family. More than that, I needed to understand that I am in control of “KING STOMACH.” So many times I have to de-throne him and make sure he remembers who is boss. Example: Telling my stomach it is ok if I just have this portion, that I do not have to eat till I am FULL! Throughout this blog I will share recipes, tips and my story of how I took control of my eating habits. Let’s all get healthy together!!!
